Red Snake is a joint event between PhillyPUG and Philly.rb, where local programmers give alternating 10 minute lightning talks to a crowd of their peers. No Geekadelphia Award for You!
So, in a follow up to this, we (PhillyPUG and Philly.rb) were denied nomination in the category of Best New Event for RedSnake. Oh well, we are on their radar now and should still qualify as “new” for next year. I guess we need to learn a little more marketing. Here is the official response from Geekadelphia:

So, Geekadelphia is having an award ceremony for geek-related things in Philly. One of the categories is Best New Event. While the current nominees are very good and each deserving of an award, there are notable events missing from the list. One of them is BarCamp (maybe it does not qualify as “new”). Another is the RedSnake meeting. I sent a tweet out asking for RT’s to see if...
